The Hankie, the color, and the pattern! So excited!! |
"Something old, something new, Something borrowed,
Something BLUE."
Yes, that is the theme for this hankie. I am so honored and excited to be tatting a blue hankie edging for a lovely gal at school whose daughter is getting married!!! She's picked out the pattern (which just happens to be called 'Bride's Maids!!!) by Mary Konior and I suggested the Lizbeth 'Wedgewood Lt.' for a color. What do ya think? Has anyone worked with that specific color? I'm super excited about it and will get the final OK from her on Wednesday and then I'll be working on it during my month-long winter break. That's another reason to celebrate, but I'll hold off on a post for that one! A whole month off of school deserves a post all it's own! Toodles for now!

Love the edging and love the color!! I have not used that color of Lizbeth but, it sure looks pretty!
I can't wait to see your finished piece! :)
I too am working on a hanky edging called Asters from the same book, but having frustrations with the thread constantly breaking when I close rings(first really bad thread-but it's the perfect color so I have to continue). I will have to post it after Christmas because it's a gift for a friend who checks my blog from time to time.
Have a great day!!!
Thanks Ladies! I worked a little sample last night and LOVE this color! It looks much darker on the ball then what it looks like tatted up...if that makes sense! I'll be posting pictures and keeping you updated!
Magnifico pizzo e bellissimo colore !
