Color Combos!

I love this doily pattern so much I decided to started two more!!! It's the coronet doily from my previous posts and all three are coming along nicely. I scanned these guys so that's why they look a little funny,

The solid green is the first one I started and I quickly realized how pretty the pattern looks so I got the notion to try some fun color combos. The one on the far right is a lighter green with a subtle pink variegated thread. These two threads together are quickly becoming my favorite!!! The middle one I started last night and is in navy blue and  Lizbeth's Wedgewood light. I like how striking it looks.
School is quickly wrapping up and work at the garden center is gettin' busy! Life is good in Illinois!

99 Followers?!?!?!?!?!

Can it be?? I have 99 followers?!

 

Wow! I did a calculation this morning to see how long I've been blogging. So starting from my first blog post, which was January 17, 2009 to today April 10th, 2012, it has been 3 years, 2 months, and 24 days. Oh My Goodness! I looked back at some pictures of my first projects and at the progress I have made as a tatter. Tatting is one of those hobbies that will stay with me forever and I make no plans of stopping any time soon. I can't wait to see what the next 99 followers brings! Thank you for being such great readers! So here is a hearty round of applause for my treasured blogging buddies!!!!

Coronet Doily

Currently working on a lovely doily from Tattyhead's blog called the Coronet Doily. Here are two tatted centers. I've been working on color combos and decided to go with a solid green Lizbeth thread. (Leaf Green Med.-684, just FYI :) It was a close second to a solid navy blue but I'm partial to greens so green it is! This is the first 4 rounds out of 10 so it will be a moderately large doily. Ah, new projects are so fun!
