HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!
It has been so fun to log into Blogger and see all the tatted shamrocks pop up on my blog-reading list! Here are some links to my favorites!
Margaret's.......Le Blog de Frivole's Trefles!......Yarnplayer's Celtic Shamrock.....Kathy's Victorian Lace Pendant....Sharon's Tatted Lace Shamrock Bookmark......and our beloved Threads of a Tatting Goddess.
PLUS! the Piney Woods Tatter did a FREE celtic pendant pattern! I know what I'm gonna be tatting tonight!! Here is the link to her beautiful blog!
Speaking of Shamrocks, Irish, and all things celtic, I've been working on interlocking rings with one shuttle. Here is the link
for the foundation video and I have been watching, over, and Over and
OVER to get it right. I quickly found myself in the same predicament
as Jon from her Tat-a-Renda blog. To make all the rings lay the same direction, it all comes down to how you position the thread for the final ring. Her blog post HERE
has a great picture to show you how to thread the final end through the
last and first ring. These interlocking rings are also a great way to
use up extra thread on your shuttles from previous projects!! Here are a couple that I've been playing with:
So to conclude my St. Patrick's Day Post I'll bid you farewell with this famous, but my favorite, Irish Blessing:
"May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand."
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand."
Watch out for the Leprechauns!! ; )

As we close in on the end of the St. Paddy's Day weekend, I also wish you the same Blessing! I am part Irish, so it's a time to remember my Irish relatives and ancestors. And thanks for the link to my blog! I wore the sweater and pendant today! Of course, it's Sharren's shamrock design - I just added some bling!
You're doing great with those interlocking rings! I am so indebted to Karen Cabrera for making that video about the interlocking rings done with a shuttle. And it's an excellent diagram by Jon. I was totally obsessed with learning to do those rings this summer, and finally did. I'm now trying to decide what to do with all the samples I made! And now I can tat some of the patterns that Rachel generously shares with us!
Thank you for mentioning my blog, my mojo picked up on Joelle shamrock doodling and I just had to try. I was going to try one with the rings interlocking but I did not get time, but it's in my mind so perhaps I will try during this week.
Your interlocking rings are looking good, I have that diagram that Jon did and I refer back to it when I try and tat them.
Have a nice day
Margaret
