Rockin' and Rollin' through TIAS 2013!! Here is the link for Day 5!
Day 5 of TIAS |
So Day 4 had a new technique I had never used called a Catherine Wheel Join that proved to be a great alternative to the standard lock join. Now today's, Day 5, had another new approach to making chains called a Lock Chain. It is a chain made with the first hitch flipped, and the second hitch unflipped. The flipped stitches makes the chain look braided. It looks especially cool with variegated threads!
Yesterday's Tatting class was lovely. Seven ladies and a gentleman came and tatted away the afternoon on a snowy and windy day in Illinois. What an adventure tatting takes us on! A couple of the ladies had already learned how to tat and had some great questions and discussions to share. Most had tried tatting years ago and wanted to start again. I was so very blessed by their courage to give tatting a try. I can't wait until next month's class! If you are in the northern Illinois area and would like to join us we will be having another Beginning Shuttle Tatting class on Feb 20th 1-4pm. Call Natasha to sign up! Here is the website with her classes and contact information. We'd love to have you!
Have a great day everyone and until next time,
