Takin' Time Off...

After working under the pressure of a deadline, it's always nice to take a break and tat leisurely. I've been working from a book called Easy Tatting, and just enjoying my shuttles. I even took a break from thinner thread and have been working with a bulkier size 10 for a pretty spring Doily. Yes, the gardener in me is anxiously awaiting spring. Since I'm graduating college in May, I've also been job hunting and have a few interviews lined up. I'm hoping to find that 'forever job' where I can put my degree to work! There are a few greenhouses and garden centers around us that look promising so only the Good Lord knows where I will settle.

I'm also taking time off of Facebook during the season of Lent. From Ash Wednesday to Easter is 40 days and it represents when Jesus was temped in the desert for 40 days. As Christians, we give up something to remember what He went through and be more mindful of Him. I'm planning on studying the Scriptures more and putting my time where it is more meaningful. I'll still be on the Internet, because of school, but no Facebook for me. So email me if you need to get in touch with me. My email address is listed under the 'About Me' tab at the top of my blog.

Here are some pictures of the tatting projects I'm working on!

2 of 3 petals for a 3D flower! I've been asked to display some tatted garden themed items at a local garden show!!!!!!

'Flying Disc Doily' in size 10 Ecru color. It's been fun to work with larger threads again!
